The Sapphic Sanctuary

Can bisexual and pansexual people be sapphic?

Yes. Bisexual and pansexual people who are attracted to women fall under the sapphic umbrella, whether or not they are also attracted to other genders. You do not have to be attracted only to women to be sapphic.

The through-line for sapphic is attraction to women. If that describes you, being bi or pan does not push you out. Plenty of bi and pan people use both labels, one for their orientation and sapphic for the community and the direction of that attraction.

There is sometimes a worry that sapphic quietly means lesbian-only. It does not. See the difference between sapphic and lesbian for a closer comparison.

What about pansexual specifically?

Yes, you can be pansexual and sapphic. Pan names how gender does (or does not) limit who you are drawn to. Sapphic names belonging in women-loving-women space when attraction to women is part of your life. Plenty of people hold both without picking a side.

Glossary: bisexual and pansexual. Also see whether a-spec people can be sapphic.
