Soft masc
Masculine-of-center presentation with a softer edge than hard masc or classic butch. People use it when masc fits, but the sharpest masculine look does not.

Soft masc sits on the masculine side without requiring boots-and-binders energy every day. Clothes might still read masc. The manner might be quieter, rounder, or more androgynous than hard masc.
It overlaps with soft butch for some people. Others prefer soft masc because they do not want the cultural baggage of butch, or because masc is simply the word that stuck.
