Short for asexual and aromantic spectrum. A-spec sapphics may feel little or no sexual or romantic attraction and still belong in women-loving-women community.

Asexual people experience little or no sexual attraction. Aromantic people experience little or no romantic attraction. Both sit on spectra, which is why a-spec is a useful shorthand.
Sapphic community is not only about dating or sex. Ace and aro sapphics still share culture, friendship, partnership styles, and belonging with other women-loving people.
