i present femme and people act like that means i'm trying to pass as straight, or that i must date butches only.
femme feels like a queer thing i chose. how do you explain that without a TED talk.

femme in sapphic spaces usually means feminine-of-center on purpose, with queer history behind it. not default girliness.
