apps have been a wasteland for me. i'm mostly into soft mascs / stems and somehow every match is the opposite of what i asked for (which is fine! just not what i'm looking for).
local lesbian bar is messy and kind of cliquey so i bounced after two tries. i live in a decent sized queer-friendly city and still feel like i'm hunting ghosts.
where did people actually meet someone. hobby groups? work? mutual friends? i need ideas that aren't "just put yourself out there"

mutual friends. slow and annoying until it isn't. the dates start warmer because someone already vouchsafed that you're not a goblin.
