not fully out at work. want to go to a daytime pride event anyway. going solo because my friends are out of town.
what helped if you've done this. safety stuff, how not to freeze at the entrance, whether smaller community events beat the big parade.

share live location with one trusted person. decide your exit time in advance so you don't spiral mid-crowd.

smaller block parties / queer picnic events were less overwhelming than the main parade for me year one.
