family has gotten "nicer" about me being gay in theory. in practice my partner of two years isn't invited to my sister's wedding because it would make some relatives "uncomfortable."
if i skip, i'm the problem. if i go alone, i'm agreeing she doesn't count.
what did you do when family tried this peacekeeping nonsense.

i didn't go. standing next to someone who erases your partner teaches them it works.

same. sent a gift, stayed home, watched trash TV with my girlfriend. peaceful hill to die on.
