do i say upfront that i'm newly dating women. or is that dumping insecurity on a stranger before the latte arrives.

a light "still figuring out dating women, be patient with my nerves" is fine. a monologue is not. she can meet you where you are.

curiosity > performance. ask about her. you don't need swagger lines.

the right person won't punish you for being new. the wrong one will, and that's useful data early.
