i work somewhere conservative-ish. told a friendly coworker i was going to a concert "with a friend." the friend is my girlfriend. she found out later through mutuals and sent a long text about how hurt she was that i "lied."
i didn't feel safe volunteering that info. now i feel weirdly guilty AND annoyed.
am i overthinking this or is "you owe me your coming out" a bad take.

if you respond at all, keep it short: "i share personal stuff when i feel safe. wasn't about you." then stop debating.
