craft groups feel safer than apps but i still brace for someone to flirt and then get weird when i don't match energy.

i mention it casually if it comes up ("i'm ace, here for the yarn"). most people shrug and move on.

groups that say "not a dating group" in the description attract a better mix in my experience.
