willow skye-biggs had a film at newfest. nitehawk prospect park, monday the 19th, 6:45. two trans lesbians, both out of work, at the edge of a city that doesn't get a name. the notes say indigo can pass feelings and thoughts to junebug. junebug wants to use a spell she picked up hopping trains. it takes you somewhere called elsewhere. you don't come back.
i liked the movie more than that summary. 79 minutes, and a lot of it is two people talking about whether a bad life is still theirs. the scary part is housing. the environmental collapse is just sitting in the background, not doing a speech.
open captions on the film, asl for the intro and the q&a. that part was handled. nitehawk still wants $17.50 in food and drink per seat, and the bar doesn't count toward it. i bought fries i didn't want so the booking could stand. virtual screenings run through the 30th if you'd rather skip the potato.
