i watched the grey's premiere late on purpose. my sister spoils plots in the group text and i wanted the apartment quiet. last season ended with toni at the door and cass already in the bed. this episode toni iced amelia out for the whole shift. they fought in the OR about a pilot from the plane. the patient died. then amelia goes to toni's house and does the speech about being in love, and about wrecking it because that's an old habit.
toni says she isn't done with her. they kiss. premiere over.
meg marinis told variety the writers' room split on whose fault it was. some of them think toni left amelia hanging about the ex-wife. some of them think sleeping with cass should have ended it. i'm in the second camp and i sound like someone's mom. one speech is quick forgiveness for a naked ex in the apartment.
autostraddle ran a recap on the 19th that was mostly glad the show didn't kill the storyline. fine. i still wanted another episode of toni being mad before anybody got a kiss.
