went on a "beginner" hike with a regular club and spent the whole time explaining my pronouns and also why i didn't have a $200 backpack.
looking for queer / QPOC outdoor spaces where the point is being outside together, not gear flexing. city doesn't matter — just tell me what to search for so i stop wasting Saturdays.

search QPOC hikers + your region. if nothing local, some groups post photo essays from other cities and you can ask for referrals.

"sapphic nature walk" and "dyke hike" pull different crowds than generic LGBTQ outdoors sometimes. worth trying both.

if a group's photos are 90% white and nobody mentions access or transit, i skip. saved me a few awkward mornings.
