brought my embroidery hoop, sat down, immediately became furniture.
everyone else seemed to have ongoing projects and inside jokes. i stabbed myself with a needle twice and said "nice venue" like a robot.
do these get easier or am i just bad at communal crafting.

first time is always weird. second time people remember your face and it unlocks. bring the same project so you look consistent.

ask what someone's making. crafters will monologue for free. you barely have to talk.

i went three times before i said more than ten words. still worth it for the quiet company.
