trying one of those weekly genre challenges and i keep bouncing off sci-fi and age-gap romance for no good reason.
mystery/thriller sapphics? devouring them. historical? hit or miss. cozy? depending on whether the bakershop feels like cardboard.

sci-fi clicked for me once i stopped treating it like homework. found one with found family on a freighter and suddenly i cared about engines.

age gap is fine if both characters have agency. i bounce when one of them feels like a project.
