The Sapphic Sanctuary

Do I need to be sure of my sexuality to call myself sapphic?

No. You can use sapphic while you are questioning, if your feelings are fluid, or if you would rather not commit to a narrower label. Nothing has to be settled first, and you are allowed to change your mind later.

Labels are tools, not tests. Sapphic is broad enough to cover people who are questioning, whose attractions shift over time, or who just do not want to narrow things down yet. You can try it on and see how it feels.

Nobody at the door is going to ask you to prove anything. If the word gives you language for how you feel, it is yours to use, and you can revise it whenever you like.
